Top 10 Ways For Procrastinating

So I have pretty much realized that I am the queen of procrastination. I have been able to find so many different ways to avoid doing my homework because homework is definitely not as fun as these next 10 things.
 1. Watching television/movie: During spring break I had a ton of work to catch up on, instead I watched Burlesque 5 times in 6 days.
2. Read a book for fun: As an English major there are a lot of books that I have to read for my classes, its nice to just read for fun every once in a while instead of doing my assigned reading, no matter how interesting the assigned reading is.
3. Paint: Every once in a while I will buy a paint by number, they give you the lines to fill in and what colors to do it so its not a lot of thinking and it is really relaxing to do.
4. Textsfromlastnight.com: a completely hilarious website to go onto. It always makes me laugh the things people say when they are drunk.
5. Crazythingsparentstext.com: Yet another funny website. Some of the things a parent says to their child is truly shudder worthy.
6. FUautocorrect.com: We've all been there. You're writing a serious text and your phone changes a word that makes it sound so wrong and so funny!
7. The Bubble Game: You can find this game on pretty much any online game website, or if you just type bubble game online into Google. I could play this game for hours, and I sometimes do.
8. Checking your email: I check my email 4 or 5 times a day and there sometimes is nothing new in it but, I still have to look.
9. Clean: I HATE cleaning, so much but there are times when I'm sitting in my room and I just look around and it makes me so irritated how messy everything is so I will clean instead of doing my work.
10. Lastly, and the best procrastination tool, Facebook. You really cannot go wrong with Facebook. There is so much to do on there and always people on to talk to so you could definitely waste a lot of time there!

Those are my top 10 procrastination tools, combine them all and you have my spring break!

  1. Hey!
I love this blog on procrastination...because it's so true. I can personally relate to numbers 1,2,8,9,10. Although, I haven't personally had a chance to watch Burlesque since it came out in theatres…I agree it's a great movie:)

I am also an English Ed major and I have a whole pile of books that I've been dying to read, but your right it's hard with so much school reading.

As to numbers 8 & 10, especially with any Smartphone it's so easy to keep checking email and fb with one touch when you’re bored.

Lastly, I'm the same way with cleaning. I don't love it, but for some odd reason I always feel compelled to clean in order to put off homework.

  2. As of right now, I'm procrastinating writing a paper by reading about procrastination for another assignment that I procrastinated all of spring break.

I hope I didn't open some sort of Paradox here.
